nope
LOL! I might be the only one alive who actually enjoyed ET!
You ever rip one of those cartidges apart... just a couple stupid ICs, a couple capacitors, and maybe a resistor on a small pcb. All for that price that costs no different than todays games on CD. Yeah, I did the KB thing as well.
I felt Activision or Imagic were some of the better games made. Atari lost some good programmers and game designers.
I remember in the mid-80's, K.B. Toys had a bin of 99 cent games. It was really weird because you find these obscure games that you never heard of... but hey, for a dollar, why not?
I remember some great games from IMagic, but there were a ton of duds. The sad thing is just how much games retailed for back then. I could swear the average game was $39.00.
The Atari 2600 did ok for a while, but then really bad games showed up. The space games were alright, but the Atart 2600 version of Pac Man, Custer's Revenge and god forbid... ET The Extraterrestrial killed it off.
Gawd! I wish I was a kid again. Being a grownup SUCKS!
Good classic commericial only thing wrong is it cuts off before the "Have you played Atari today?" jingle at the end.
Yes. Yes yes yes. I still play my Atari 2600 games. Unfortunately I no longer have my Atari 2600 system, but my Atari 7800 plays Atari 2600 games just fine.
so was atari 2600 worth to buy back in the day
Wow, I love those games! Trons Deadly discs :)
And then it reminds me of E.T The most pointless game to hit the 2600 LOL. :P great Commercial though.
Is that Kelsey Grammar saying "Galaxy to Earth!" ???
Neat Commercial...Atari had some really neat space video games back in the day!. And many of them are still fun to play today!
I was totally and completely obsessed with Star Raiders in the early '80s. THE GREATEST GAME EVER MADE!!!!! |
