Hahaha, I remember the atari at my grandma's house. She was an ace at all the Pac-Man games
But didnt you notice pacman eating the tabs sounded like farts?
yeah listen to the sound made when pacman dies, thats the way I remember it. Everybody keeps saying it was something else.
Hah, "those are supposed to be the ghosts!"
My thoughts exactly. They're supposed to be, but the game looks like ass so you can't really tell.
This is the first and only time I've seen Will Lee/Mr. Hooper outside of Sesame Street.
LOL the shame of flogging that crappy game killed him.
Hmm... The ghosts does not appear to flicker in the commercial. They must have used special hardware or just a recorded and edited video...
'computer'? Not! Try the 800XL...
And what IS Mr. Looper doing hawking Atari anyway? Still, those were the days of innocence...
Hiya Mr Looper!!
lol, atari superman at the end
nothin beats the atari like good ole pac-man
Will Lee, the old man in that commercial, has been dead since the tail end of 1982.
That's Hooper, Big Bird, Hooper.
lol those are supposed to be the ghosts
Grandpa is dead now.
power block i thougth it was a power palet
Well there WERE a few ways to put that sucker in, only one of which worked. I guess it was obvious to some of us... the label side up with the prongs on the side you stick into the console, but I guess that was too obvious for some. Except when there was a label on both top and bottom, where you had to ensure the label on the end was right side UP, and even then I'm sure there were exceptions..... nothing is so simple that it can't be screwed up.
He said that was a mistake for hating it later on. All he said was that the gameplay was mediocre, everyone only liked it for the graphics which were revolutionary.
i hate chesse, that must meen u do too
They released a half-assed prototype, I still play it today, but Lock 'n Chase is superior.

I meant that they'd be idiots since they were pretty much assuming that kids didn't know how to put a game in. And yeah, Pac-Man was awesome but the 2600 version was crap.
I remember hooking up systems all by myself at 7. It's so easy. I don't need my parents' help.
"Those are supposed to be the ghosts!" That's about it from what I heard of the 2600 version. It was the most anticipated game arrival of its time - what a let down!
UltimaChaos: Idiots? Nah, it was the best you could get in those days without buying your own standalone console.
Dreadful.
But thanks for the Mr. Dooper flashback. That was enough reason to see it.
the point is that's the magic, you have to use your imagination. |
